Instruction Manual for DualShock 3 (PS3) Wireless Controller

Windows

  • *     required system: Windows 7 SP1 or above
  • *     Motion control, player indicator are not supported
  • 1.     Visit https://support.8bitdo.com/receiver-usb-adapter-tools-for-ps3.html to download and run PS3 pairing tool.
  • 2.     Plug the adapter into your PC and connect your DualShock 3 to PC via USB.
  • 3.     Once the adapter and DualShock 3 are both connected, click “Pair” button in the software.
  • 4.     Once pairing is complete, disconnect the adapter from PC, then insert it into your Windows device. (No need to press pair button).
  • 5.     Disconnect DualShock 3 from PC, then press PS button to connect.

    Manual setting
  • Press the button combos below for 3 seconds to enter manual setting（LED will blink twice），USB Wireless Adapter 2 will not switch mode automatically.

  •     SELECT + UP  = Xinput mode
  •     SELECT + LEFT  = Dinput mode
  •     SELECT + RIGHT  = Mac mode
  •     SELECT + DOWN  = PSC mode
  •     SELECT + L1  = Switch mode
  •     SELECT + UP + LEFT  = MD mode

  • * Automatic mode switch supports Windows and Switch only. Press the button combos to switch other modes.
  • * Press pair button on the USB Wireless Adapter 2 till LED turns off to cancel manual setting (controller needs to be re-paired).
    How do I connect DualShock 3 to PS3 after pairing with the USB Wireless Adapter 2?
  • Turn off your DualShock 3, connect it to your PS3 console via USB cable, press PS button to connect.
